Ground Rigger

As a Ground Rigger you are responsible for the load in, load out and set up of heavy lifting equipment and safely securing it in place using pulleys, ropes, and hoists.

In this role you will be reporting to the Technical Stage Manager and working closely with other crew members to enable the tour, travelling through Germany or Austria, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands.

What are your key tasks?  

  • See to load in- and load out of the show in a timely and diligent manner
  • Build supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gear, taking all safety regulations into account
  • Set up, operate, and maintain show levitation, lighting, and other electrical show equipment
  • Supervise the (local) rigging team on hanging show hoists in accordance with the rigging plot
  • Maintain all rigging material and equipment during the tour
  • Support the crew on other tasks at hand

What do you offer?

  • Relevant experience in live entertainment is a must
  • IPAF license 1a, 3a and 3b
  • Working knowledge of cables breaking strength, shackles, hooks, and other rigging gear
  • Excellent understanding of technical manuals and Auto CAD software and drawings
  • Good written and verbal English language skills
  • Good health; no colour-blindness
  • Stress-resilient and a creative problem solver
  • Availability from October 2024 to the end of April 2025
