Daniel Aggiano is the youngest of four siblings and started skating at the age of four after his eldest sister took him to the rink where she skated. He stopped aged ten and restarted aged 15, when he began to take his training more seriously. Competing in singles, pairs, and synchro at an international level, he also won the British novice pairs title in 2006 with his second partner. Both were shortly after asked to compete for the Italian team, which had no pairs at the time.

In the summer of 2006, he and his partner relocated to Milan to train under the world and Olympic-level coaches at Sesto Ice Skate. They won junior national titles in 2006 and 2008, competed and medalled internationally, and took part in two junior grand prix competitions and the 2009 Junior World Championships. They spent every summer training abroad in America at the University of Delaware, where they trained with top-level coaches and skaters who inspired and pushed them to improve.

Daniel turned professional in 2009 doing two contracts with Disney on Ice before returning to competing in singles for Great Britain. He placed 4th in his first year back and medalled at national qualifiers. He competed for one more year both nationally and internationally before returning to shows. Nothing could beat the thrill he feels when performing for a huge audience, and competitions were not the right style for him. He did five contracts with Willy Bietak Productions on cruise ships before doing one summer at Hot Ice in Blackpool, England.

Daniel has just finished two more seasons with Disney on Ice. He can’t wait to start his tour with Holiday on Ice and the spectacular show, SUPERNOVA, as he loves to travel and is very excited to see more of the world while doing what he absolutely loves!

Julie Fontbonne

FRA

Julie is both a dancer and an ice skater. She’s been dancing since she was six and started ice skating the day her father took her for a free session at the ice rink in Strasbourg. She was eight when she started competing, and over the course of eight years she took part in several regional and national competitions. She ended her competitive career with a top-ten finish in the Novice Women first division in France.

Julie never felt completely comfortable during competitions; she always felt more ‘herself’ during the various galas she took part in, organized by her club. She fell in love with creating, choreographing, and performing in front of an audience. That’s when Holiday on Ice attracted her attention, and in 2010 she joined the company. This is when her ‘tour life’ began.

Over the past nine years, she has travelled the world and performed in the Holiday on Ice shows Tropicana (2010 and 2011-12) and Peter Pan (2011) as a chorus member with an understudy role. From 2012 to 2016, Julie was a member of the Ice Age Live! show cast and had a number of roles in the various tours, including as a chorus member, understudy, line captain, and character.

She has also performed for other companies including Crystal Ice show (2016), Europa Park (2016), and Delice Show (2016 and 2017).

In 2018, Julie joined the Atlantis production as a chorus member and aerialist, progressed into the line captain position for the second season, and she is back this season as a line captain and chorus member for the new production 2019/2020, SUPERNOVA.

Courtney grew up in Canada where she stepped onto the ice for the first time on her grandparents’ pond outside their home. She was five years old at the time and is still in love with the ice. Naturally, she began taking lessons at the local skating club, where she trained as a free skater and started competing at the age of eleven. At the age of 16, Courtney was ready for a new challenge, exploring the discipline of synchronized skating.

She began by competing at Junior level for three years and competed at Junior Worlds, representing Canada for two years with her team NEXXICE. During the years that followed, she completed her post-secondary education and gained an Advanced Diploma as a Dental Hygienist. She promised herself that once she had finished her education, she would pursue her dream of competing at Senior level – and did so for two years. In that period, she became a World Champion in 2015 with her team, came third at the Grand Prix Final in Barcelona soon after, and competed at a second World Championships in Budapest in 2016.

This marked her retirement from competitive figure skating, but now she’s fallen in love with the world of professional skating.

Courtney feels very lucky to be able to combine her passion for both figure skating and travelling. After completing two touring seasons with Atlantis, she is very excited to return for a third year touring with Holiday On Ice in the New Production for 2019-2020!

In the following three years, they were the top four pair in the world as juniors.

They have enjoyed a great number of victories in their professional career, becoming Ukrainian champion three times and taking home the Grand Prix three times. They came second at the 2016 World Championships in the short programme and fourth overall.

Unfortunately, when she was 17, Renata had to quit for personal reasons. And at this moment in her life, Renata has decided to stop her professional competition career and pursue show skating.
