Technical Stage Manager
As Technical Stage Manager, you are responsible for overseeing all technical processes that bring the production to life. From load-in to showtime and load-out, you lead the touring crew and ensure the smooth, safe and efficient operation of the show in every venue.
Working closely with the Tour Manager and international cast and crew, you play a key role in delivering a consistent, high-quality production throughout the tour.
This role takes you across the Netherlands, Austria and France, working in a dynamic touring environment where every venue brings new challenges.
What will you be doing
- Lead and supervise the technical crew in a proactive and supportive manner
- Create a positive working environment and ensure clear communication within the team
- Manage and coordinate all load-ins, load-outs, maintenance and show operations
- Prepare and provide daily technical show reports and crew working hour registrations
- Maintain and update all relevant technical show documentation, including rigging plots, lighting cues, motion cues and sound files
- Monitor and manage technical supplies and consumables throughout the tour and make the necessary orders when running out of stock (via Senior Technical Manager or Associate Producer as appropriate)
- Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are understood and followed by crew and local personnel
- Support and assist during publicity events, special performances and press activities
- Collaborate closely with the wider touring production team to ensure efficient show operations
What you bring
- Experience in a technical management role within live entertainment or touring productions
- Strong technical knowledge of lighting, sound, stage systems and show operations
- Demonstrated experience in leading and supervising technical teams
- Valid IPAF license (1a, 3a and 3b)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and CAD plans
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Good written and verbal English communication skills (additional languages are a plus)
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced touring environment
- Flexible mindset and comfortable working evenings, weekends and irregular schedules while on tour
- Availability October 2026 – April 2027
