In the past seven decades, Holiday on Ice has welcomed more than 328 million visitors which makes it the most visited ice show in the world.


The origin of Holiday on Ice was founded in 1943 in Toledo/Ohio as a small hotel show and which until today has grown into an internationally acclaimed and successful live-format with a high brand awareness and a solid position in the live-entertainment world. For this season Holiday on Ice reflects many aspects the Holiday on Ice brand stands for. Its opulent layout, charismatic figure skaters, glamorous costumes, festive atmosphere, elaborate music, style and elegance.

PASSION

The new Passion show takes you into the live of our figure skaters. From the passionate beginnings, the sacrifices up to the big success – the beauty, the ambition and the glamour. The show tells the life of the ice skaters: the true stories and the look behind the scenes.

2013

PLATINUM

As a tribute to 70 years of Holiday on Ice, Platinum celebrates the timeless character that it represents since its founding in the United States in the forties. Platinum  features a wide variety of sounds from Brazilian electro to classical waltz, swing and gospel to Samba from the last 70 years of Holiday on Ice.

Platinum had their last show in March 2015 in Berlin and is finished touring.

SPEED

Holiday on Ice races into a new area with the production of Speed! From the speed of instinct, love, money, time and even light speed, this show is taking audiences to amazing revolutions per minute, never before experiences with professional skating. Speed is breaking the barrier not only with cool skaters, but stunt men, aerialists, snow bike drivers, featured dancers and short track ice racers.

In 2011, Holiday on Ice becomes part of the new division Stage Entertainment Touring Productions. As part of the new division, Holiday on Ice presents the new sensational show Speed.

FESTIVAL

The show Festival is a grand celebration – inspired by the very best Holiday on Ice moments of the past, and full of stunning, multi-coloured contemporary scenes. From the moment the audience enters the arena it is obvious something dramatic is going to happen: The giant and stunning, explosive and colourful “tornado” set hovers over all, giving the feeling the party is about to get started.

GREAT CO-OPERATIONS

GREAT CO-OPERATIONS

In 2010, Holiday on Ice created great co-operations with Mr. Phil Collins for Festival, German singer Lou Bega for Tropicana and Dutch singer Do for Energia which generated good exposure in the countries. Besides that, Holiday on Ice co-produced (together with colleagues from Stage Entertainment Russia) a family ice show for the Christmas period in Moscow: 'Snow Queen on Ice'. 2010 is also the year that Holiday on Ice performed in Lebanon, Beirut for the first time.

TROPICANA

With Tropicana, Holiday on Ice takes everyone on an American journey: from the streets of New York, to the energetic colourful beach clubs. Imposing orchestral arrangements switch from Latin-pop and dream ballads to swinging Big Bang rhythms and Rock ‘n Roll feelings of the fifties.

NUTCRACKER ON ICE

The Nutcracker on Ice is a wonderful Christmas fairy tale ice show co-produced by Stage Entertainment Russia and Holiday on Ice with the ambition to tour the world.

ENERGIA

Energia takes audiences on an epic journey through time and space to discover the deeper message of how the universe is connected. The show’s theme is light energy which is being used in many different ways, sometimes literally but also in several metaphorical ways.

65TH ANNIVERSARY

65TH ANNIVERSARY

Holiday on Ice celebrates its 65th anniversary, welcomes its 320-millionth visitor, wins the TPi award for the most impressive stage and achieves another Guinness Book of record award for the 'World's largest Pin Wheel'.

Fire and water, air and earth - the basic building blocks of all life. Each scene in Elements is inspired by one of the four elements.

MYSTERY

Mystery invites you into the world of magic, the mysterious and the macabre. Opening with a visit to the mysterious East, Mystery incorporates elements of magic and the unknown into an elaborate skating extravaganza. An amazing journey into the imagination – on ice.

ROMANZA

The show Romanza brings the most famous love stories of the world: stories from the ancient times, the Middle Ages and in the present. Exclusively for Holiday on Ice Singer Chris de Burgh recorded a new version of his hit “The Lady in Red”.

KISS: PETER PAN ON ICE

2005 is also the year of the first Kids Ice ShowS Division's production: Peter Pan on Ice. In its first year, over 1,000,000 spectators are expected. 

Peter Pan on Ice is a fantastic fairytale by the writer J.M. Barrie. This unforgettable, magical fantasy which generations have enjoyed has now been brought to life in a delightful spectacular ice show. The celebrated boy who could fly and did not want to grow up is going to enchant audiences all over the world again. Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy, and her brothers will be battling against Captain Hook and his pirates with exuberant action filling the ice.

Joop van den Ende forms the Stage Holding Entertainment Company, which assumes responsibility for all of his own and Endemol's live entertainment products, including Holiday on Ice.

Over a thousand Holiday on Ice skaters, past and present, celebrate the show's 50th birthday by forming the longest kick line along the Boulevard in Nice in the world. This is an achievement which merited another entry in the Guinness Book of World Records.

In the midst of the Cold War, Holiday on Ice travels to Moscow, becoming the first American attraction to visit the Soviet Union since the two superpowers agreed to a cultural exchange program. Among the spectators is party leader Nikita Khrushchev.

The Gilbert brothers invested in Holiday on Ice. Together with Morris Chalfen, they use the first portable ice rink to make Holiday on Ice a touring show.

First ever performance in Toledo, Ohio. Holiday on Ice was created by Carl Snyder and Donn Arden, who chose the name Holiday on Ice because the first show was to be staged during the Christmas holidays.
